This book is the most complete photographic essay ever done on the training of the Navy SEALs. BUD/S as it is known is a lengthy progression of physical and mental challenges that requires the utmost in dedication. This book captures that commitment and gives the reader a real insider look at what it takes to become a Navy SEAL.

Having spent two and half years working on, "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday", a 288 page book about the training of the US Navy SEALs, it was published in December, 2004

Underwater training sequence showing military divers practicing combat techniques in a pool.

An instructor hovers as two swim buddies feel their way through a nighttime gear exchange exercise. Both men perform the evolution with obscured masks to give the impression of a dark, nighttime swim. One buddy waits as his partner ditches his gear, and performs a perfect free solo ascent in less than 10 minutes. In the meantime, the other buddy straps the discarded gear back on and later does the same.
