ABOUT ME

 

Richard D. Schoenberg

I've been a photographer and filmmaker for over 45+ years. Originally from the New York City area, worked for several entertainment newspapers. During that period, I compiled a portfolio of rock photos that were published in 2002 under The book titled, "79.80" which documents some of the early performances of the B-52's, John Mellencamp and The Pretenders.


In addition to my work, I spent two and a half years working on, "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday", a 288 page book about the training of the US Navy SEALs. Photographs from this project were featured in the movie “Lone Survivor”

CAN'T GET ANY CLOSER THAN THIS. TERRIFIC! LET'S FACE IT, WE DON'T HAVE A CLUE - NOT UNLESS WE'VE BEEN THERE. MOST OF THE PICTURES WE SEE, THE STORIES IN THE PRESS, THEY ONLY TELL HALF OF IT, IF AT ALL. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO WANT TO BE ONE, A NAVY SEAL, NOT REALLY.
